The Australian Waratah Girls’ Choir is a Newcastle based choir that arose from humble beginnings in a rumpus room in 1982. Now, on our 40th year anniversary, having performed all over the world, we invite you to a concert celebrating the tours and performances over the years.
Come on a journey of memories as we revisit a vast array of songs across national and international tours from the last four decades, spanning generations of women. A performance for all ages, experience the warmth of our community and the joyous voices of our choristers, both old and new!
Join the Waratah Girls’ Choir as we celebrate 40 wonderful years of music and sisterhood. Witness and experience the passion and discover what it means when we say we are “more than just a choir!”
Get your tickets now, before they’re gone!

Our Senior Choir will be performing with the Newcastle Army Band at this year’s ANZAC Dawn Service on Nobbys Beach. Open to the public, we hope to see you there for a beautiful ANZAC morning at the beach.
In this annual concert, the choir presents a variety of songs from around the world, and from our travels. The word “Compass” conveys the idea of a journey, guidance, travel, discovery… all of those things. We hope that our audience will come away from our concert having been transported to “somewhere lovely” either by memories of the past, delighting in the now, or dreaming of the future.
The Australian Waratah Girls’ Choir is proud to support Friends With Dignity Australia by performing at this event.
